The LG42LW5700 3D LED TV is my very first HDTV (I know I’m way behind right?) and I was very skeptical going into the purchase of the LW5700 series as there is so many different product lines and models it was a bit overwhelming to tell you the truth. I did take some time to compare LG’s LW5700 vs. LW5600 vs LW5300 vs LW6500 and other series to ultimately make my decision, and I am quite pleased with it.
SmartTV features are very cool, and I was happy to be able to do stuff like watch you tube on my new LGLW5700 3D LED from the comfort of my living room. The web connected features make this much more than just an ordinary television that I am used to.
Like I read in some other LG42LW5700 reviews from other shoppers, the 3D capability wasn’t a main selling point for me, but is very nice to know I’ll be able to take advantage of the industries push to 3-D content and gaming when I’m ready.
Everything from the sound and video quality, the extras and even the overall aesthetic design of the television has me very pleased. It is a great television and especially at the LG LW5700’s price range. My only negative to add to this LG 42LW5700 review would be that I went to small as I was nervous, and if I knew how happy I would have been I would have stepped up to the LG47LW5700 or even LG55LW5700 and grinded to make back the extra cash.
