I am very happy with my Sony KDLHX820 3D LED purchase. I bought it online after spotting a really good deal that I knew was indeed one from seeing the prices of this television in my local electronics shops. I had big reservations about ordering online, and hadn’t really considered it when I was originally shopping for a big LED, but after seeing the cheap KDL-HX820 prices online and reading some people’s KDLHX820 reviews that talked about the shipping and handling of their televisions, I decided to give it a shot.

The delivery experience was way better and smoother than I had anxiously anticipated; it arrived two days ahead of schedule and in perfect condition and was well packaged and handled. The company called in early to let me know they were ready and to schedule the time.

Unpacking it from the box the first things you notice is the HX820 is very light and attractively designed. Initial impressions upon turning it on are its great looking picture (although you will probably want to adjust and play around to find some optimal settings and calibration for your house right out the box) Setting it up and navigating the menus is intuitive and simple, I really like the control scheme which is one con I had read in some reviews of Sony’s KDLHX820 3D LED from other people, I guess they were used to other layouts or interfaces.

Image quality on 3D, the various other media and internet features, and just overall performance when gaming is great on KDL46HX820 46” HX820 series model. My only regret with this purchase may be that I was timid and didn’t opt for the larger 55-inch KDL55HX820 model. Good luck for other shoppers, I would really recommend the KDL-HX820 series if you can snag a deal and sale like I did!

I bought the 55″ Sony XBRHX929 3D LED after doing tons of research and reading tons of reviews on XBRHX929 units and similar high end products from the other brands. I ultimately picked the XBR-55HX929 unit and have been VERY happy with my purchase.

This television is just stunning and awesome in design, features and of course image quality. After doing lots of comparison shopping and reading tons of XBRHX929 reviews and professional opinions, I knew that this was the best model I could buy model I could buy and I am thrilled with the purchase seeing as how I wanted the best of the best as a long term TV investment.

The 3D playback is great, the Bravia Internet features add another layer of functionality to the TV and it just simply doesn’t get any better for HD sports and gaming. Our family has pretty much had out XBR-HX929 3D LED on since we bought it and I definitely feel it deserves its price tag and crown as a king amongst 2011/2011 LED televisions. I haven’t calibrated the XBR-55HX929 just yet, but from reading around it seems like I could squeeze even more visual reproduction beauty by adjusting, calibrating and finding recommended settings and optimal adjustments for our type of natural and imitation lighting in the living room.

Just thought I’d add yet another satisfied review of the XBRHX929 3D HDTV out there, its price is hefty but in my opinion you really do get what you pay for these days, at least as the HDTV market is concerned right now

I wanted to pick up a television for my bedroom as I was recently in a bad accident and am spending lots of more time in bed. I originally purchased the LG42LW5700 on a whim, but found it too small as I had it wall mounted on the other side of the room. I returned it and upgraded to the LG55LW5700 3D LED TV and am so happy I did. THE LGLW5700 3D series is just an incredible value and I would have been disappointed in investing in anything less than the largest, 55-inch, size option.

Picture quality is freaking awesome compared to my old set, my 2 year old main set in the living room and some of my friends new televisions. I almost didn’t have the heart to tell my girlfriend what the LG 55LW5700 price was, or the other LGLW5700 series prices as she just bought a brand new TV last month and spent way more than me for what we both agree to be a much inferior set.

I haven’t really pushed it to its limit with gaming or fast action sports yet to test out the problems of halo effects or input lag, nor have I tried the 3D capability quite yet. So maybe after Christmas if I pick up a 3D player to compliment the TV, I will update this LG55LW5700 review and comment on that aspect of that TV. Regardless, I am very pleased with this product and would advise others to consider upsizing like me if you’re looking at the LG LW5700 series, I would have been disappointed if I had to keep just the 42-inch or 47-inch model into a future, would haven’t of been such a solid long term investment that way.

I absolutely love my LG47LW5700 47″ LED 3D TV but there are a few flaws that I have found that I thought I would write a quick LG 47LW5700 review to help other people understand.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I could find a better deal or LG lineup other than the LGLW5700 3D LED LCD series, but it does have its flaws like any product and I thought I would share for potential buyers to understand first as I would have loved to have read a LG LW5700 review that brought these small issues to light.

First is that I prefer the LG 47LW5700 with the TruMotion feature turned off. This feature is marketed as a major benefit and selling point, and maybe some people do prefer it, but with it turned on I could see slight lag that would disappear if turned off, kind of annoying for potential buyers to be sold on a feature that does more harm than good in some respects. Also my LGLW5700 series came with 4 sets of 3D glasses, glasses which I found cut down the effective 3D viewing angle quite a bit as compared to some other glasses and televisions I have experienced 3D on lately.

I’m sure I’m missing something right now and for the life of me can’t remember what else I wanted to talk about… Oh well, I guess the main point of this was to say yes it is a great TV, but to leave an objective LG47LW5700 review to point out some weaknesses, as every product has them and I hadn’t read about it in previous LW5700 reviews and write-ups

The LG42LW5700 3D LED TV is my very first HDTV (I know I’m way behind right?) and I was very skeptical going into the purchase of the LW5700 series as there is so many different product lines and models it was a bit overwhelming to tell you the truth. I did take some time to compare LG’s LW5700 vs. LW5600 vs LW5300 vs LW6500 and other series to ultimately make my decision, and I am quite pleased with it.

SmartTV features are very cool, and I was happy to be able to do stuff like watch you tube on my new LGLW5700 3D LED from the comfort of my living room. The web connected features make this much more than just an ordinary television that I am used to.

Like I read in some other LG42LW5700 reviews from other shoppers, the 3D capability wasn’t a main selling point for me, but is very nice to know I’ll be able to take advantage of the industries push to 3-D content and gaming when I’m ready.

Everything from the sound and video quality, the extras and even the overall aesthetic design of the television has me very pleased. It is a great television and especially at the LG LW5700’s price range. My only negative to add to this LG 42LW5700 review would be that I went to small as I was nervous, and if I knew how happy I would have been I would have stepped up to the LG47LW5700 or even LG55LW5700 and grinded to make back the extra cash.

LG LW5700 Reviews & Feedback

The LG LW5700 3D TV series has been getting great reviews from professionals and everyday consumers alike. There are many more LGLW5600 review comments than 5700 comments, and that is due to fact the LG5600 was released earlier and more widespread, but the two product lines are similar enough that you could use either lines reviewers as a good solid judgment on the product.

Comparison of LV5500 versus LV3700

Comparing the LGLW5600 vs LGLV5500

A major overhaul to core technology and panel (LED with local dimming) add enormous picture quality in favor of the more expensive LG LW5600 series. Improved response, contrast, and many other benefits arise from this and the visuals are noticeable more realistic in the more expensive locally dimmed LEDS. The LG LW5600 models are also 3D ready out of the box and have 2D to 3D conversion for normal content. The price increase is there, but the differences when you compare the LW5600 vs LV5500 are quite significant and make the extra cash worth the investment for many people. The LW5600 3D LED television serious is available in 2 models: The 47″ LG47LW5600 3D LED TV with local dimming technology and the 55″ LG55LW5600 3D LED TV with local dimming technology.

Compare LG LW5700 vs LG LW5600 3D LEDs

There are few differences between the LW5600 vs LW5700, with the most notable being a slightly different aesthetic design and no local dimming on the LGLW5700. In most every other way when you compare LG LW5600 vs LW5700 the televisions are quite similar.
Comparing LG LW6500 vs LW5600 / LW5700

A higher end offering from the 2011 LG LED television fleet, the LGLW6500 series with the 47″ LG47LW6500 3D 240Hz TV, 55″ LG55LW6500 3D 240Hz TV, and 65″ LG65LW6500 3D 240Hz monstrous television are high end models aimed at performance at an affordable price when compared versus competition brands.

We bought the Panasonic 60-inch TCP60S30 Plasma TV last week and have been very impressed by its rich natural images, solid sound, large internet connected feature set and so much more. Images appear sharp and natural and the contrast ration on the TC-P60S30 really sticks out when compared versus some of the newer plasma’s I have seen in and around its price range. Quick optimization and calibration of the TCPS30 resulted in a difference in image quality so finding good recommended settings for your enviroment is highly recommended for getting the most out of your plasma.

This large HDTV replaced an aging 42″ LCD from a couple years ago and besides the fact it is much heavier than the LCD everything on it is a major upgrade, and the pricing was crazy to think how much we paid for the much smaller and inferior LCD just a couple years ago. Deeper blacks are so evident on the plasma vs LCD as well and all the Panasonic TCP60S30 reviews I could possibly read never could have gave me the impression that it has without seeing it in person first.

2D to 3D conversion works well but still don’t have a large enough collection of 3-D content to really take advantage of the S30′s capabilities just yet… Styling and aesthetics are worth pointing out too, as we have wall mounted this large model in our living room and not one person that has seen it has not made some sort of comment about how great our home theatre setup looks (thank the wife for her styling skills hehe)

We haven’t really put all its features to use yet so an updated review in a couple weeks would help me share some more technical expertise, and the vast amount of positive Panasonic TC-P60S30 reviews is what led me to this pleasing purchase so I would like to help add more input to the community.

Lots of advice on calibration, recommend that you pick up a special calibration disk and see what works best for your room / tastes. Here are some basic Viera TCP60S30 (Panasonic TC-PS30 series in general) to give you a basic start:

picture mode :cinema
contrast: 56
brightness:49
color: 53
tint:2
sharpness:0
color:warm 2
color mgmt ff
catsff
video nrff
screen format :full
hd size:size 2
advance picture : everything off and black level light
24p:48hz if possible

Good luck! This is a great television and more than happy to give it a 5 out of 5 star rating and hope other shoppers enjoy its big performance, size and affordable price as much as the rest of us owners!

The LG60LW9500 60″ LED 3D HDTV is LG’s new top of the line LED-backlit LCD TV. There is no feature that this television doesn’t have. The flagship LED backlit television packs scads of features, into a thin frame. LG’s delivers its purportedly improved full-array LED backlight scheme, called “Nano”. A single glance at this brilliant, beautiful screen and everyone will be lining up for movie night! At 60 inches, that is a lot of screen. Even the ultra slim bezel is virtually insignificant compared to the size of the screen.

What do you get with the LG60LW9500?

This LG 3D TV has an Energy Saving Recommended certification as well as loads of other features. Local dimming this helps provide crisp and clear color and detail. TruMotion 480Hz improves the clarity of fast moving images. The LG60LW9500 is capable of 3D display with the use of active shutter glasses.

Apart from the above, you also get:

Magic Motion wand

Wi-Fi USB dongle included

Passive 3D compatible

Internet-ready Smart TV with Web browser

Magic Wand remote

DLNA-compatible

Picture Wizard II screen calibration system

The remote compliments the set with an equally luxurious, cool appeal.

A couple of woopsies

With the high-gloss black finish, the screen is virtually a fingerprint magnet. Also, the sound system may not be considered up to par in this system but isn’t that the case with all 3D televisions. But the marvel of this 3D HDTV is that it can be dramatically improved by linking up to a surround sound system.

In a league of its own

Connectivity options are endless and are available either on the side or back or the television. The superior quality of the picture and the ease of use is the biggest selling point of this television. If you are looking for serious entertainment then LG60LW9500 is the one for you.
