Samsung UN55C6500 LED LCD TV
Posted in Mar, 2010
The 55-inch Samsung UN55C6500 LED LCD is an edge-lit entry level LED for Samsung’s 2010 announced UNC6500 LED family. It has many drastic improvements over last years UN55B6000 and UNB6000 series, although lacks some of the highest end and cool innovative features found on the more expensive C7000, C8000 and C9000 models. That is not to say the UN-55C6500 LED will disappoint, it still has superb image quality with great black levels, color accuracy and realism, and great response, and probably will look better than any television you have seen yet wrapped into a price tag that will simply be hard for the competitors to match for its performance, design and feature level.

Comparing Samsung’s UN46B600 vs UN46B700 LED models, the main feature set you are paying more for on the mid-range 7-series LED model is the new internet and content capabilities. Samsung UN40B6000 Reviews
Posted in Jan, 2010
The Samsung UN40B6000 LED LCD is the 40″ model of the high-end LED Luxia HDTVS released in 2009. It is part of the UN-B6000 series, the entry level edge-lit LED, released together along with the B7000 and B8000 to make up the Luxia family. It features all of last year’s high end features like 120Hz Auto Motion Plus although lacks on some of the brand new 2009 features like 240Hz and brand new internet and multimedia technologies. The Luxia UN40B6000 however has a pretty astonishing price tag for a high quality LED powered HDTV, and shoppers on a budget will love the Picture Quality for the price if they can handle living out with all the latest internet gadgets and add-ons. The Samsung UNB6000 LED line-up consists of the:
- 32″ Samsung Luxia UN32B6000 LED LCD
- 40″ Samsung Luxia UN40B6000 LED LCD
- 46″ Samsung Luxia UN46B6000 LED LCD
- 55″ Samsung Luxia UN55B6000 LED LCD
Compare UN40B6000 vs UN40B7000
Comparing the UN40B6000 vs UN40B7000 LED the key difference altering the price tag here is the expanded content, multimedia and internet connectivity. Where the Luxia UN40B600 has last year’s cool Info link RSS feature for connecting to the internet and grabbing data like weather and stock reports via rss feeds, the UN40B7000 is the cheapest model to feature all of the cool new internet features and built in Ethernet connectivity for things like streaming content from YouTube, Flick, EBay, USA today and a sure to grow list of content providers. Also new is widgets powered by yahoo, which allow for placement of little windows (much like a small picture in picture) that sit on screen and refresh data and content like sports scores, weather updates, news, and much much more with continual content upgrades possible to really future proof the B7000 models. The Samsung Luxia UNB7000 LED line-up consists of 3 sizes, missing out on the smaller 32″ option of the B6000 series:
- 40″ Samsung Luxia UN40B7000 LED LCD
- 46″ Samsung Luxia UN46B7000 LED LCD
- 55″ Samsung Luxia UN55B7000 LED LCD
Compare UNB6000 vs UNB8000
Further stepping up from the UNB7000 series, the key difference on the more expensive UNB8000 LED HDTVS is the introduction of new 240Hz Auto Motion Plus refresh rate… This is a significant step-up from the B6000’s and B7000’s 120Hz refresh and allows the UN-B8000 to have superior image processing and performance. Many other upgrades exist such as an improved remote control which no longer requires a line of sight to the HDTV to input and various tweaks to the processing and imagining to allow a greater image quality. The UN-B8000 is available in the two larger sizes of the previous series with the:
New flagship Samsung UNB8500 LED LCD
Released a good amount of time after the above Samsung Luxia edge-lit LED HDTVS, the new Samsung UNB8500 LED Series has all of the advanced and high end features of the previous top-of-the-line B8000 models, with one significant difference over them all, a new and superior backlight system. The B6000, B7000 and B8000 use edge-lit LED tech which delivers the light from the edges… while this allows for the super thin 1.1″ form factor and still delivers incredible and breath taking picture quality… the slightly fatter UN-B8500 delivers its picture with local-dimming as opposed to edge-lit and allows for astronomical contrast, color realism, pure blacks and one of the nicest overall images yet seen on an HDTV. This difference doesn’t come cheap, but for those that want the very best, the B8500 is it with the:
- 46″ Samsung Luxia UN46B8500 LED with local dimming
- 55″ Samsung Luxia UN55B8500 LED with local dimming

The Samsung UN46B6000 LED LCD is the 46” model in the entry level Luxia UNB6000 edge-lit LED televisions released by Samsung in 2009. It is the cheapest of the 4 current LED offerings and as such is a favourite among budget shoppers that want the phenomenal picture quality and pros of LED backlit units, but don’t necessarily need all the coolest and newest gadgets and features. It still has all of early 2009’s high end features like 120Hz refresh rate and infolink internet rss feeds, while lacking some of the newer stuff like InternetTV and yahoo widgets to keep the UN46B600 affordable even at the larger sizes.
Stepping up and comparing the UN46B6000 versus the UN46B7000 and the Luxia B7000 series, the most important upgrade that makes the B7000 more expensive is the addition of a large collection of content, multimedia and internet connected features such as Yahoo widgets and streaming content from sources such as Youtube, Flickr, EBay, USA today and much more. The UN-B7000 series consists of 3 sizes, lacking a 32” model found on the B6000 series, with the: 40” Samsung UN40B7000 LED LCD, the 46” Samsung UN46B7000 LED LCD and the largest; Samsung UN55B7000 LED LCD models.
The Luxia UNB8000 family and the 46” Luxia UN46B8000 LED further build on the content and entertainment upgrades of the B7000 series, with the major upgrade you are paying for here being the brand new 240Hz AutoMotionPlus refresh rate upgrade with 2ms response rate… This upgrade from 120Hz refresh and 4ms response allows the B8000 to have marked improvements in visual performance that will appeal greatly to gamers, power users, movie fanatics and very frequent users. Samsung mid-high end UN-B8000 series consists of the 46-inch 46B8000 edge-lit LED and the 55-inch 55B8000 edge-lit LED models, lacking the 40” size option of the B7000 series and the 32” size option of the B6000 series.
The Luxia UNB8500 LED with local-dimming series is the current flagship HDTV offered by Samsung, and the 46” Samsung UN46B8500 LED with Local-Dimming is its most powerful 46-inch TV to date, with the improved back-lighting tech being the biggest upgrade and price increase – and allowing the 46” UN46B8500 and 55” UN55b8500 to have some of the most breath-taking visuals with the purest blacks and most realistic natural colors ever witnessed on an LED TV to date.

Samsung UN55B6000 Reviews

The Samsung Luxia UN55B6000 edge-lit LED LCD HDTV is the 55″ offering in the entry-level B6000 LED series from Samsung in 2009-2010. The UNB6000 models, also featuring the 46″ UN46B6000 and the 40″ UN40B6000 may be an entry level model line, but they still pack enormous value and picture quality into a really cheap price tag, which has made them an immediate favorite among shoppers on a budget – allowing consumers that don’t have much money to purchase the very large and very high performing HDTV for a fraction of the price of some of the more feature loaded models and those in the step up series (B7000, B8000, and B8500)
Comparing the UN55B6000 vs the UN55B7000 and Luxia UN-B7000 LED series – there are quite a few subtle differences, but the major price changer and experience difference is the addition of a whole variety of InternetTV, yahoo widgets and streaming content and playback features that the cheaper B6000 lacks. The B7000 lacks a 32″ size option the B6000 has, with the 40″ Luxia UN40B7000 LED LCD, the 46″ Luxia UN46B7000 LED LCD and the 55″ Luxia UN55B7000 edge-lit LED LCD televisions.
When you step up even further and compare the Samsung un55b600 vs un55b8000 and the Luxia UN-B8000 lineup you also get on top of the b7000’s content and intenet feature upgrades; 240Hz refresh rate technology, different design and color, improved remote control technology, faster response and a much improved overall picture quality… although these upgrades don’t come cheap. The Samsung Luxia UNB8000 LED series consists of only two sizes, the 46″ Luxia UN46B8000 and the 55″ Luxia UN55B8000 LED models, lacking the smaller 40-inch sizes available on the B6000 and B7000 series families.
At the top of the line as far as Samsung’s current LED powered units go is the Locally-Dimmed UN-B8500 series and the 55″ UN55B8500 television which major differences compared to the previous 3 lines and models is a new backlight technology. It is quite a bit thicker to make room for an improved backlight system, LED with local-dimming, which comes from behind the tv as opposed to from the edges to make for a much better and top of the line picture quality. It is not cheap by any means, but the Samsung UN55B8500 and the UN46B8500 are some of the most impressive and best HDTVs ever to be released and rated.
Early 55″ Luxia UN55B6000 reviews and reports have had great things to say about this unit considering its very low price tag, and consumer feedback and scores have a staggeringly high average rating. See the link below to more fully compare the Samsung UN55B6000 vs UN55B7000, UN55B8000, and new flagship UN55B8500 models and read some customer UNB6000 review feedback and ratings:

Samsung B6000 – Compare B6000 vs B7000,B8000, B8500
Posted in Dec, 2009
The Samsung B6000 Luxia LED LCD TV series is the entry level LED backlit offering from Sam this year, and has quickly catapulted to one of the most popular selling series of high definition televisions since its introduction in the summer of 2009. It is the most basic of the ‘edge-lit’ led powered units and the Luxia family, taking most of previous years sought after features in a superior LED powered package to be an incredibly affordable and high quality set. The UNB6000 series consists of 4 models with the smallest, the Samsung UN32B6000 measuring in at 32 inches and the largest, the Samsung UN55B6000 measuring a large 55-inches. IN the middle of them sits the 40-inch Samsung UN40B6000 and the 46-inch Samsung UN46B6000 LED LCD models.
Below is a quick examination of the differences between the B6000 and the B7000, B8000 and B8500 models also released into Samsung’s 2009 LED televisions lineup, to help you compare the UNB6000 vs the mid range UNB7000 series, high end UNB8000 series and the current top-of-the-line UNB8500 series models and see which is the best fit for your family:
Compare Samsung UN-B6000 vs UN-B7000 LED LCD TVS:
The UN-B6000 and UN-B7000 LED TVS are quite similar in performance and general function, with one major deal breaking change between them. Comparing the B6000 vs B7000 models, what you will want to pay attention to is the fact that the UNB7000 gets a load of brand new 2009 content, multimedia and internet features. New gadgets and features like being able to stream youTube and flickR content among many other providers, and display of data on screen via Yahoo widgets make the UN40B7000 more of an all around entertainment unit with access to the internet’s vast and varied content and entertainment. The UN-B7000 series is available in all the same sizes as its UN-B6000 cousin minus the smallest (32″) variation, with the: 40-inch Samsung Luxia UN40B7000 edge lit led, 46-inch Samsung Luxia UN40B7000 edge lit led and 55-inch Samsung Luxia UN55B7000 LED LCD models. See link below for a full comparison and list of features found on the B6000 versus B7000 models:
Compare Samsung UNB6000 vs UNB8000 LED LCD TVS:
Building upon the above upgrades of the B7000 line-up, comparing the B6000 vs B8000 LEDS you get quite a few more larger upgrades that influence overall performance, picture quality and enjoyment. The most significant single upgrade would be the brand new 2009/2010 AutoMotionPlus refresh rate at 240Hz and 2ms response time a considerable jump from the 7 & 6-series LED’s 120Hz and 4ms response time. The UN-B8000 also enjoy new design with Touch of Color Blue highlights compared versus the B6000/B7000’s red ToC… and also gets an upgrade to a new remote control technology which allows for usage of the remote even if not pointed in the direction of the sensor or hidden behind obstacles. The Samsung B8000 does lose yet another size option from the B6000 and B7000 series, available in both the 46-inch UN46B8000 LED and 55-inch UN55B8000 LED. See the link below for a full comparison of the UN-b6000 vs UN-B7000 and UN-B8000 features list:
Compare Samsung B6000 vs B8500 LED HDTV:
Launched quite a bit later on as part of this year’s Samsung LED offerings, the Local-Dimming Backlit UNB8500 series continues to build on the upgrades and improvements offered by the previous top dog B8000, with the introduction of a new and superior panel and backlit choice. The UN-B8500 units most distinguishable differences when you compare the B8500 vs B8000, B7000 and B6000 is most certainly the huge increase in picture quality achieved with this superior picture quality. Quite simply the image quality, black levels, color accuracy and realism is second to none on the flagship 46-inch Samsung UN46B85000 and 55-inch Samsung UN55B8500 and has been reviewed by some serious professionals has having top-3 picture qualities ever witnessed.
