The Samsung UNC9000 LED series models were unveiled at CES 2010. Though it isn’t the first company to announce its 3D eco-system technology, Samsung has boldly proclaimed its vision to be leaders in the 3D industry, with claims that it will soon have the widest gamut of 3D TVs available come launch.

Some of the impressive technology setting the up-and-coming 46″ UN46C9000 and 55″ UN55C9000 televisions apart from less expensive Samsung models are its fully-colored touch screen remote, its almost impossibly thin design, its 2D conversion and 3D capability, and its Wi-Fi internet connectivity to name a few. 2010 promises to be a groundbreaking year in television innovation.

The large 55-inch Samsung UN55B800 LED HDTV is one of the, if not the, most popular high end and large HDTV on the market right now, and for good reason. Picture quality, design, features and overall value and performance for the dollar are amazing on the 55” UN55B8000 TV, and word of mouth and numerous Samsung Un55B8000 reviews and price drops have pushed it up to fame as of late as well. Deep blacks, extraordinary realistic and true colors and insane contrast and uniformity are achieved on the tiny (less than 1.2 inches thick in depth!) with Samsung’s edge-lit panel system, and although it may not match the absolute flagship models and local-dimming powerhouse B8500 series, for the price nothing even comes close.

When you compare the UN55B8000 vs UN55B7000 models, the major advantage given to the B8000 lays in new 240Hz AutoMotionPlus feature with 2ms response rate, this allows for major benefits in screen performance and function over the old 120Hz and 4ms response still found on the B7000 and B6000 Luxia models. Stepping down to the entry level and comparing the UN55B8000 and UN55b6000 models, this change as well as the loss of a bunch of internet enabled features, streaming content and multimedia capabilities and connectivity help to make the B6000 the cheapest unit in the Luxia family.

Stepping up from the 55B8000 to the flagship Samsung UN55B8500 55″ LED HDTV, there is a shift in technology from edge-lit screens to local dimming, with light coming directly from behind the screen on the top of the line B8500 series, large leaps in picture quality, clarity and performance are found and make the 55B8500 LED LCD the top dog of the pack.

Samsung UN46B800 Price and Reviews

The 46-inch Samsung UN46B800 LED HDTV is part of the high-end Luxia B8000 series, and offers the full spectrum of features and technologies released and developed by Samsung in 2009 and early 2010. It has been reviewed thoroughly by professionals and shoppers alike and the verdict is that it is one of the absolute most brilliant and gorgeous HDTVs available. Recent Samsung UN46B8000 Luxia price increases have further bolstered its popularity and it has continued to stay atop best selling and best rated lists for quite some time. New internet features, content and multimedia capabilities, insane connectivity and some of the most brilliant picture quality found even close to its pricing have came together make it as popular and sought after as it is.

When you compare Samsung’s UN46B8000 vs UN46B8500 LED model, the new current flagship offering, the main difference lies in the usage of local-dimming backlighting as opposed to edge-lighting found on the cheaper B8000, B7000, and B6000 series. This results in the B8500 not being nearly as super thin as the others, but allows for an exponential increase in picture quality, contrast levels and overall visual performance (and also jumps the price up significantly unfortunately)

Comparing the Samsung UN46B800 versus UN46B700 LED model, the main difference between the two is a downgrade of Samsung’s brand new 240Hz anti-judder technology, which helps to keep visuals problem and distortion free during intensive load, to the B7000’s 120Hz refresh and slower response time. Stepping down to the entry level UN46B600 the differences between to the aren’t as drastic in the area of performance and output, essentially just removing some of the internet, content, multimedia and onboard connectivity features for a more basic yet still brilliant HDTV.

The UN46B800 46″ LED has received about a 4.7/5 average rating to date across dozens of reports from owners at Amazon.com – see below to read these Samsung UN46B800 reviews and to locate today’s best and lowest UN46B800 prices from many retailers.

The Samsung UN55B700 LED LCD TV is the largest of the B7000 series models available at 55-inches, and is also one of the more popular LED HDTVs on currently on the market thanks to its great balance of quality and affordability in a large 55-inch screen. Stand out features include mega contrast levels and superb picture quality thanks to a superior panel and backlighting with some of the purest blacks, colors and white levels found in a television of this price range. The unit continues to impress even when off, thanks to a slick new 1.2″ thin design with Samsung’s subtle yet powerful touch of color design principle. It is rare to see a full featured television of this thin depth including the tuner, and this is achieved with the edge-lighting without sacrificing picture quality. New yahoo powered widgets bring a bunch of cool information to your display via resizable and positional widgets, which act much like a picture in picture with less distraction. The Samsung Luxia 55B7000 LED also features streaming content from sources like youtube, flickr, USA today, eBay and an ever growing list of content providers help to keep the HDTV much more than just a cable, satellite or movie playback device and adds a level of future proofing not found on past years televisions with integrated internet connectivity.

When you compare the Samsung UN55B7000 vs UN55B8000 model, a few upgrades make the B8000 a more expensive alternative, the major one you are paying the big bucks for seems to be new 240Hz refresh rate and 2ms response time technology. Which allows for greater fluidity and smooth transitions of pixels on the more expensive UN55B800 then that of the 120Hz and 4ms response UN55b700 model. Stepping down to the UN55B6000 LED model, you will save some money, but will have to sacrifice a few extras, the most important being the integrated internet features and content like youtube and yahoo powered widgets.
