Samsung UN46B8000 Reviews | Compare UN46B8000 LED LCD TV
Posted in Samsung HDTV, Samsung LED, Samsung UNB8000 LED Series
Samsung’s UN46B8000 46″ LED LCD is the 46-inch model in the Luxia B8000 LED series (alongside the 55-inch UN55B8000) and is the most powerful and feature rich of the edge-lit Luxia LED family released in the first half of 2009. New features like 240Hz refresh rate, improved visual engines and processing, and several other tech upgrades make the B8000 once of the best performing and stunning visual experiences offered in Samsung’s vast HDTV lines.
Customer Samsung UN55B8000 reviews have been giving this unit enormous buzz, with an impressive average rating from owners and shoppers right up there with the very best of the best. The B8000 is currently surpassed by the new UNB8500 series, which contains essentially the same feature set with a few obvious upgrades, the most important of which is the transition from edge-lit LED technology to local-dimming, allowing the B8500 a dramatically improved picture quality, even where the B8000 was already incredibly impressive. Major differences when you compare the Samsung UN46B800 vs UN46B7000 include the new 240Hz refresh rate with 2ms response (B7000 has 120Hz and 4ms response) and the major downgrade moving down from the B7000 to the UN46B6000 is the loss of all the new internet TV, content and multimedia features new to the Samsung HDTVS, instead containing last year’s Info link internet features.

Latest Samsung UN46B8000 Review
Beware of Samsung customer serviceThe TV itself is 5 star. But customer service is so bad (zero stars)that I will not buy another Samsung product. This was my third Samsung TV, but never again.
After having this TV for 11 months, the remote control stopped working. A quick call to Samsung's 800 number assured me that a new remote was on its way. Don't believe them. It turns out that their service standard is to ship with 14 business days - ie it may be almost a month before you get what you ordered. And to call them just gets a reply that it hasn't been 14 business days yet, so keep waiting. It turns out that my remote wasn't even shipped, but they couldn't tell me that for 14 business days. When they finally did ship it, it arrived in a padded envelope via UPS. It was DOA, likely damaged in shipment due to insufficient packaging. Customer service said "no problem", we'll replace it. I am still waiting, but it hasn't been shipped yet. But then again, they've only sat on the order for 8 business days so far, so I have to wait another week and a half before I can even complain. When I asked if it would be shipped in a box this time, the customer service agent said she has no way to communicate with the shipping department. I have found out that they have an "executive customer relations department" (why is this even necessary?)who can e-mail their shipping department. So I requested it be shipped in a box, so maybe this next remote, if I ever receive it, won't be DOA.Review Date: July 21, 2010
