Samsung’s B7000 series televisions sit in the middle of the 2009 Luxia LED releases, lacking some of the high end features of the more expensive step-up models from the Samsung UNB8000 Edge-lit LED and Samsung UNB8500 Local-Dimming LED line-ups while maintaining some of the cool new modern features lacking on the entry B6000 series. To help you compare the UNB7000 versus similar models from the Luxia LED LCD families (the UN-B7100,UN- B6000, UN-B8000 and UN-B8500) below is a list of major decision making differences when you compare them. The Samsung B7000 LED line-up is available in the 40-inch Luxia UN40B7000 LED – 46 Inch Luxia UN46B7000 LED and the 55 inch Luxia UN55B7000 models.

There aren’t many differences to discuss here, with the only major change being that of the design color. Out on most of the newer Sammy units is the Touch of Color design principle, a slight infusion of color into the piano black bezels of HDTVS, which adds a slick aesthetic appeal while being subtle enough that it is not distracting or overwhelming. The major differences between the B7000 and B7100 LED are in the ToC color choice, with the UNB7000 models having a red tint while the UNB7000 contains a gray/clear ToC choice. The B7100 series is available in sizes identical to the 7 Series LED with the 40-inch UN40B7100 LED LCD, 46-inch UN46B7100 LED LCD and the largest at 55-inches; the Samsung UN55B7100 LED LCD.

Compare Samsung B7000 vs B8000 LED LCD:
The Samsung B8000 is quite a large step up from the Samsung B700 series, and adds in new 2009 features not seen before on Samsung’s previous roll-out of high end televisions. The most major differences between the B7000 and UN-B8000 consist of a doubling of the refresh rate, with the B7000′s 120Hz being supercharged to 240Hz AutoMotionPlus for much better picture performance and experience on the more expensive models, Refresh Times are also twice as fast for more smooth and realistic picture and the remote has been approved upon and uses new tech to allow for usage even without direct line of site. The Samsung UNB8000 LED LCD televisions have a blue ToC design element, and lack the smaller 40-inch availability of the UNB7000 with the 46″ Samsung UN-46B8000 and the larger 55″ Samsung UN-55B8000 LED LCD television.

Samsung’s new B8500 8 series LED televisions are the new flagship units in its 2009/2010 HDTV family. They have a number of slight changes from the previously mentioned UN46B8000 and UN55B8000 that help them to overtake the thrown of the B8000, but by far the most important and major selling point is the upgrade from edge-lit LED backlighting to a more capable and superior LED panel with local dimming. The Local-Dimming tech allows for a near doubling of contrast ratio, incredible black levels and color realism and accuracy that is truly breath-taking. It has been reviewed as one of the top 3 best looking screens ever to receive a professional review, and is truly the epitome of image quality and performance available from Samsung at the moment. It also has the 240Hz AutoMotionPlus, 2ms response, improved remote technology and ToC blue differences and upgrades mentioned in the above B8000 paragraph. The Samsung UN-B8500 LED TV is available in two sizes, lacking the smaller 40-inch availability of the B6000 and B7000 families, with the smaller 46-inch Samsung UN46B8500 LED unit and the larger 55-inch Samsung UN55B8500 LED unit.

Stepping down to the B6000 series, there a few minor differences alongside what is the major price changer and selling point, loss of internet, multimedia and streaming content features. The UNB6000 LED models revert back to using last year’s Infolink RSS feed data for internet content display, where all the more expensive Luxia LED televisions from the B7000 and above have new rich internet features such as widgets (allow for on screen display of information and data much like picture and picture powered by yahoo widgets) and content delivery from sources such as youtube, eBay, flickr and so much more. The UN-B6000 is available in all the same size options as the Samsung 7 series LED with the smallest – Luxia UN40B6000 measuring 40 inches, medium – Luxia UN46B6000 measuring 46 inches and the largest – Samsung`s Luxia UN55B6000 measuring in at 55-inch (screen size measured diagonally)
