Review of the Samsung LN52A850 LCD HDTV:

The whole experience with the 52-inch Samsung A850 LCD is just unreal. I have seen my friends 1080p televisions many a times and let me tell you that this lcd just makes theirs look silly compared with its awesome contrast, flesh tones, colors and natural images. Plugged into some high quality sound, displaying some 1080p Blu-Ray or video games, this thing is an absolute beast of audio/visual greatness and I am completely starstruck each and everytime I sit down and indulge. The appearance of the samsung ln52a850 itself is beautiful as well with the classy and elegant super slim – and this thing really is THIN folks – casing with the hint of color and nice finished screen. I almost got the 46-inch ln46a850 – but am so glad that I got the biggest one possible because I’m so happy with it I’m almost sure I would have returned it to upgrade anyways.

Pros of Samsung LN52A850:

Straight out of the box it worked perfect and was a breeze to setup, calibrate, connect and tweak. The picture quality was gorgeous and many experts say that it has some of the most accurate colors and darkest blacks which make for this stunning FullHD picture clarity. The controls, menus and remote all very easy, intuitive and powerful. With the surround sound setup and HD content blazing, the experience on the Samsung LN52A850 LCD TV is something you need to see to believe or understand.

Cons of Samsung LN-52A850:

Didn’t really find anything that I don’t like about the LN-52A850, at least so far and perhaps its my overall extreme satisfaction that is blinding and biasing me towards saying that… maybe once I settle in and get used to my new fave toy I will find some imperfections in it. One thing I read in other Samsung ln52a850 reviews was that the Rose Casing and the TOC was something that people not like… I can’t say the same and it was much more relaxed and appealing (very subtle too) then I could have hoped for… classy, elegant and an eye catcher by all means.

Compare Samsung LN52A850 vs LN52A860:

Many people wonder the differences between the LN52A850 versus the LN52A860 – as its a little bit confusing considering most places have the 860 Samsung 8 Series units as more expensive…. There is no technical or feature difference when you compare the two, with the only major difference being the color infused into the frame… The LN52A850 has a rose / red touch of color on the piano black bezel, where the LN52A860 has a blue/royal blue touch of color infused in the piano black frame – The later is more expensive for no other reason then the color difference oddly enough, although in time expect the prices to level out if you really want to get your hands on the slick blue color.
