I had the pleasure of viewing the Sony KDL52XBR6 LCD for quite some time working in a department store with it, and I have been absolutely blown away and amazed by the Bravia KDL-52XBR6 over that time, so much so that I just picked one up even though I didn’t really have the money as the families big Christmas present. It just has the most amazing picture quality compared to all others that sat around it in my store, and was visually different and better compared to those surrounding units by quite a strong margin.

Sony’s XBR6 is quite expensive, but let me tell you guys, and I’m sure you will have realized it by now if you have been reading other Sony KDL52XBR6 Reviews and reports, that the XBR6 series is very impressive, with amazing control, picture quality, sound quality, design and aesthetics, and performance like few other televisions in its class. Worth every one of the many pennies it fetches, but will be very much future proof and will be sitting in your living room for the longest time before your even considering or wanting an upgrade.

Pro’s of the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR6 LCD:

• The best picture quality and depth on an LCD I have ever witnessed, which is many
• Awesome control, interface, menus, setup and all the little things that matter
• Little to no ghosting, banding, artifacting or any noise ruining the picture in any way so common with lower end LCDS

Con’s of the Sony KDL52XBR6 HDTV:

• Price – pretty much the only and major complaint one might have, but if you are in the market for the best performance and future proof options, you will have expected this by now.
• Sizes available on XBR6 – this is pretty limited, and there seems to be quite a price margin compared to the KDL40XBR6 vs KDL46XBR6 vs KDL52XBR6 (40”, 46” and 52” variations respectively) not a negative of the KDL-52XBR6 but in the XBR6 series as a whole with its big price gaps and limited size choices.

Verdict: All said and done I paid way more then I could afford, but I am so happy with the purchase and will be pleased to work my butt off to help pay down the bill. I know I made the right choice and if I had the choice to buy another or wait longer for price decreases, I probably wouldn’t to tell you the truth
