The Sony W4100 Series has been climbing up the charts and quickly has became one of the most popular and talked about options in the 1080P, 120hZ, full featured LCD realm… Available in several sizes (The 52 inch KDL52W4100, 46 inch KDL46W4100 and 40 inch KDL40W4100) are all top 3 sellers in their respective size ranges, and they all have been receiving great review scores and feedback. Sony’s V-Series has quickly become one of the lead selling HDTV line-ups, with its strong performance at a reduced price tag thanks to Sony’s cutting of some not-to-vital features such as Motion Smoothing at 120hz refresh (reduces motion blur and lag in fast action, a common complaint of LCD technology) The Sony KDL40V4100 reviews and reports online seems to agree that this 40″ Full HD LCD (v4100 series also available in 46″ KDL46V4100 and 52″ KDL52V4100 with only major difference being size) that is stunningly beautiful both on and off, at a more then attractive price tag when you look at what you would be spending on other Full HD 1080p 40inch sets with comparable picture and audio quality. Below are some of the most commonly reported strengths within the user and consumer Sony Bravia KDL40V4100 Reviews online in 2008:
Not perfect, this (V)alue minded television by no means has the best picture quality, smoothest motion effects, best sound or overall experience… but for the money it is right up there with the best of them, I have left out the weaknesses attributed to its value-minded performance, because after all that’s what segment of the market this television is developed for – mid range performance and features at a cheap price range. Some problems noted to the Sony Bravia V4100 series:

No product is perfect, and even though the Sony Bravia KDL40Z4100s and Sony KDL40Z4100b televisions have received much praise and an average of near perfect ratings across KDL-40Z4100 review collection and average as well as professional publications/magazines, the product does have its faults and areas in which it needs to be improved for the future generations of Z-Series LCDs. Summary: Highest resolution HDTV available, great bargain, great features with few weaknesses
Pros: 1080p resolution, BRAVIA engine, smooth movements even without 120hz, great contrast and black contrast performance, gorgeous bezel and exterior
Cons: sound is a little weak, 52 inches may be too big for some people if not sitting far away from unit consider 46″ as viewing distance make big difference
Review of Sony V-Series KDL52V4100 by Jose Nieto:
Tired of my old tvs uncanny ability to “down convert” HD channels and movies into a format my tv could handle (which usually stretched or distorted the viewing experience), I decided to buy an HDTV. I wanted the best possible, one where I wouldn’t have to settle on quality for size, but I also wanted the big size too and thats what ultimately led me to the 52″ Sony Bravia KDL52V4100 LCD television. Convinced I would be forced to use several chunks of my paycheck, I went online and shopped around and in the mean time read many reviews of Sonys KDL52V4100 and the V series to make sure it was ranked favourably, but I knew I struck gold when I found the Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-52V4100. It incorporates all the latest in HDTV technologies minus a few of the unneeded ones to keep the price very nice and low, into a beautiful and large 52 inch screen which handles lighting and glare exceptionally… which just augments the entire viewing experience on Sony’s KDL52V4100 V-Series LCD HDTV. The BRAVIA engine and other technologies allowed me to watch all my movies and shows in full 1080p, and coupled with the deep accurate blacks, strong contrast and great natural looking image processing, the image quality blows me away daily.. NOTE: Sound is not this units strong point as I always turn on my sound system as leaving it off pains me to hear the difference of the normal KDL-52V4100 sound quality.. I was prepared for this however after reading other sony bravia kdl52v4100 reviews and reports about the sound quality and didn’t let it deter me from the steal of a deal as I already had the onyko home theater setup to go with it.
Samsung’s LN46A650 Reviewed by Kevin Bevill

Strength: Can’t get better 40-46″ LCD for the price
Weakness: only problem noticed is painfully long loading / pause times

I have the LN46A650 Samsung along with the Onkyo TX-SR606 Receiver. I also have the HD/DVR Cable box from Comcast. I too, did alot of research and followed the blogs many weeks before pulling the trigger. I sit every night and am still amazed at the picture quality of this TV. I know my wife gets tired of me saying “would you look how clear that is “? , but it’s true … for the price you can’t beat it.
The only problem I have had is the same thing mentioned in other samsung ln46a650 reviews and reports - it does take a long time once the TV is powered up to recognize the HDMI signal from the cable box. I also have a HDMI to my receiver and the TV will start at the cable box for the signal and then will go to the receiver and will stick on my Game/TV HDMI signal. It would be great if everytime I turned on the PC I was going to play with my PS3. I have to keep hitting my Cable/SAT button on the receiver remote until Samsung’s 46″ A650 LCD finally finds the signal. It’s somewhat a pain in the butt, but I have gotten used to it by now. Small price to pay for the great picture and sound through the receiver.
Thanks to Kevin B. For his thoughts on the Samsung 46″ A650 LCD HDTV

Sony’s KDL-52W4100 (52inch w series) LCD television has been flying up the charts this week, and has overtaken the slightly less potent younger brother, the KDL52V4100 (V series… removes 120hz most notably) as the most purchased and buzzed about LCD television in the 52″ class on many shopping platforms around the web. The Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 hasn’t been out for all that long, and as such there isn’t a huge amount of Sony KDL52W4100 reviews and expert reports in magazines and on the web to go by at the moment, but of the 30 or so customer reviews and reports I have read, there are many similarities, with the most common similarity being customer and user reporting it as a fantastic deal, a solid performer, and giving it top tier scores in all aspects of HDTV critique.
Below are not all the pros or strengths of Sonys KDL 52W4100, only that which are common across many customers’ reports and reviews of the Sony Bravia W4100 series:
